Newpaper  or  TV  channels  will never  report  it.
But  today ,when  the  commercial  advertisements  are  boasting  of  Motherhood  and  singing  paeans  to  mothers,
many  young  mothers  would  be  toiling  hard  to make  two  ends  meet.
These  mothers  work  as  domestic  aid, daily  wage  workers  etc.
Unlike  modern  mothers,they  work in  order  to  survive  without  any  substantial  support  from  any  one.
They  donot  have  luxury of  holiday,male friends,pay andperks.
All they  get  is  brutal  beating, sneers and  often  escapism  from  their husbands.
But,they  keep on  working without  any  fear  or favour.

Today one  may  hardly  watch  a  social  advertisement  which  speaks  against  female infanticide.
Last  week,  Times Of  India  reported,how  a  small  village  in  Rajashtan  will  watch  a  marriage  after decades.
Well, this  village  is  infamous  for female  infanticide.So, what  difference  will  it  make  today.As  one  sociologist put it, ''  rural  or  urban Women  have  no  choice  over  their  bodies".Ironically,this  also  happens to  be  state  which  talks  about     strong  women  politicians!

One  may  also  read  about  old women  who  are  thrown  out of  their  own  homes by  sons,daughters   and  daughters  in law.Few months  back,  a  grand  son  left  his  grand  ma  near  garbage  bin  in  Chennai  .After  few  stories, news  impact  died!
One  can  also  read  about  mothers  who  are  brutally  assualted by  their  own  sons.Voilence  against  oldparents  has  become  norm,but  few  report  against  it.

Finally,  today  is  birth  day  of  Ganges,But  how many  remember  it.We  use  our  sacred  mother  as  collector  of  our  sins  and  later  forget  about  it.Few care  that  Ganges is  in  very  pathetic  condition.
Forget  about  motherday, we  reside  in  a  nation,where  Vandemantram  is  seen  as  a  religious  song,  F... k  your  Mom is  an  accepted  abuse  and  mothers  are seen  as  the  best  USP  of  any  commercial  campaign !
